This is adorable as a hair decoration itself, very plush and comfortable to have in your hair. :)
However, the "scrunchie" that is attached to it isn't very practical for tying hair up on its own. I used a regular hair tie to do so, then put this scrunchie on top.
I prefer to use this for holding together small household items or non-hair uses - so consider it multifunctional. :)
