I'm in a good mood this morning so I'll wear my number seven deep pink hood!

My Melody doesn’t have any other sibling besides her rascal brother, Rhythm.
ARE KUROMI AND MY MELODY BFFS?
My Melody and Kuromi are definitely close, but we wouldn’t call them BFFs. Their relationship is a bit more complicated than that. While Melo-chan considers Kuromi a pretty good friend, Kuromi thinks of My Melo as a rival.
What makes me most happy is getting an invitation from Kuromi!
She doesn’t really hate My Melody though. In fact, when Melo-chan nearly dies in Onegai My Melody, Kuromi ends up in tears. She also blushes whenever she’s made to admit that she’ll always be friends with My Melody!
Interestingly enough, it’s because of this strange love-hate relationship that’s made a lot of kawaii fans believe that there might be a little something more between My Melody and Kuromi. Fans even have a name for the My Melody and Kuromi pairing. According to the fandom, the pairing’s name is MyKuromi!
Seen together as a blushing pair in official Sanrio art work and fan art, many kawaii fanatics can't help but imagine the rabbits as enemies turned to lovers! They also love that the girls have such opposite aesthetics. My Melody has a girly pastel pink look while Kuromi is a bit tomboy-ish with her gothic, emo-girl style. You can read more about Melo-chan's supposed rival in our full blog about Kuromi!
WHY DOES KUROMI HATE MY MELODY?
Hate is a very strong word. Kuromi doesn’t really hate My Melo, though she does hold a few grudges against her rival-slash-friend. You see, My Melody can be a bit careless and oblivious.
Thank goodness. I knew you hated ghosts Kuromi-chan, so I thought you'd be crying.
From time to time she makes a few innocent mistakes that end up hurting Kuromi, leaving her a little bit traumatized. Because of this, Kuromi used to think that My Melody was actually a bad girl trying to act innocent!
IS KUROMI JEALOUS OF MY MELODY?
It doesn’t really seem like Kuromi is jealous of My Melody. Instead, she seems to be mostly frustrated with My Melody’s clumsiness and obliviousness. Whenever Melo-chan makes mistakes, Kuromi writes them in a notebook called the “Kuromi Note.” She promises that someday she’ll get her revenge on My Melody! Despite all this, Kuromi seems to have forgotten her grudge against My Melody because the two seem to get along very well these days!
DOES MY MELODY HAVE A BOYFRIEND?
Since Flat and My Melody are super close, some people actually think that the two are dating. But in the kawaii universe of Sanrio, My Melody doesn’t have a boyfriend. She’s just too busy having fun with her girlfriends Hello Kitty, My Sweet Piano, and Kuromi to have time to date boys.
