WHAT IS LLOROMANNIC?

Lloromannic is a spooky and fun duo from Sanrio’s Cinnamoroll world! They were first introduced in 2007 and were created by Miyuki Okumura, the same artist who made the fluffy white pup, Cinnamoroll. The two members are Berry and Cherry. At first, it was only Berry, but since he felt lonely and jealous of Cinnamoroll’s popularity, he made Cherry his companion.

Unlike Cinnamoroll and his puppy friends, Lloromannic are demons! Like real demons?? We’ll find out later. Their character and name, which is Cinnamoroll spelled backwards, make them kind of like Cinnamoroll’s rivals. Just like Kuromi is to My Melody, Berry and Cherry are to Cinnamoroll. They don’t like sunlight, so they come out at night to play scary tricks on children, making them both mischievous and mysterious!
WHERE DID LLOROMANNIC COME FROM?

Lloromannic comes from a strange and magical world on the other side of the mirror! After crossing over to Cinnamoroll’s world (which you can learn more about in our blog post about Cinnamoroll), they made their home in a spooky, western-style gothic mansion that sits on the edge of Shukuru Town.
The mansion looks abandoned, with a dark and creepy vibe, but it’s perfect for Berry and Cherry since they love scary things. Some say the house may have once belonged to Espriana’s family, which makes it even more mysterious. Who is Espriana, you ask? Well, she’s a graceful dancer and the ancestor of Cinnamoroll’s friend, Espresso.
GET TO KNOW THE DEMON DUO

The Lloromannic revolves around two naughty cuties, Berry and Cherry. Both are mischievous, but each has a personality of its own. Let’s get to know them more!

Berry (ベリー)
A dark gray demon with ram-like horns and a devil's tail, Berry already looks a little scary. But wait til you see him in his full demon form! He looks extra spooky with long claws, sharp fangs, glowing yellow eyes, and big skeletal wings. He can be mean and greedy, and has a big grudge against Cinnamoroll. But deep down, he just doesn’t like being alone.

Cherry (チェリー)
A light pink demon, Cherry wears a pink bow tie, a tiny black top hat, and has little black wings on her head. In her full demon form, she looks scarier with big wings, sharp claws, and glowing maroon eyes. Berry created her to be his friend, but she was born a bit wild and bossy! Around others, she acts sweet, but with Berry, she shows her selfish side. Cherry loves causing mischief with him and even has a crush on Espresso!
ARE LLOROMANNIC EVIL?

Lloromannic may look spooky since they’re demons, but they’re not truly evil! Even though they like to play tricks and cause trouble (kind of like Kuromi does), they don’t actually want to hurt anyone. Most of the time, their mischief is just teasing and playful fun. Sanrio made them as Cinnamoroll’s rivals, so they act like villains, but deep down, they aren’t bad at heart. They’re more mischievous than evil!
WHO IS CINNAMOROLL’S RIVAL?
Speaking of Cinnamoroll’s rival, that role belongs to Berry! While Cherry mostly focuses on chasing after Espresso, Berry is the one who really has a grudge against Cinnamoroll. His big dream is to kick Cinnamoroll out of Cafe Cinnamon so he can move in and eat all the tasty treats for himself!
WHO DOES CHERRY HAVE A CRUSH ON IN SANRIO?
If it isn’t already obvious, Cherry has a big crush on Espresso, one of Cinnamoroll’s friends! She thinks he’s fancy and cool since he comes from a rich family, and she even dreams about marrying him like a celebrity. Cherry tries hard to get his attention by acting cute, but Espresso doesn’t feel the same. He actually finds her a little annoying. Even so, Cherry keeps chasing after him!
WHERE TO WATCH LLOROMANNIC
This demon duo might not be as popular as their rival, but they’ve been featured in some of Sanrio’s animated shorts! Their first appearance was in Onegai My Melody Kirara, which is the prequel series of Onegai My Melody.

Lloromannic is also part of the main cast for the stop-motion series “Let’s Roll, Cinnamoroll” (レッツロールシナモロール), where you can see them in cute little adventures. You can check out this super cute series on the official Hello Kitty and Friends YouTube channel.
